Belgium bans all mass events up to August

*UPDATE*

As expected, on Wednesday evening, April 15, the Belgian Security Council also made a decision about the events that would take place in the coming months. In order to slow down the world wide corona pandemic, they decided that no mass events can take place until 31 August, which is why we and the organizers are forced to cancel and / or relocate many fairs and events.

  • Did you have tickets for one of the events which would take place at Antwerp Expo?
    Please contact the relevant organizer.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page & calendar for further updates.

After the National Security Council, all (cultural) events will be cancelled until April 3.

As a venue, we do our utmost to manage this and we work together with all affected organizers to move their events to a later date (if possible).

Yesterday, Antwerp provincial governor Cathy Berx decided that all indoor events with more than 1,000 spectators are prohibited until the end of the month. As a result, we are taking the necessary measures which means that all fairs and events that (would) take place in Antwerp Expo this month will no longer take place – with the exception of those that comply with government guidelines.

We do everything we can to move all affected fairs and events to alternative dates together with the organizers, but cannot guarantee this for the time being. Our teams keep the organizers and their visitors informed as well as possible.

We will share all updates here about any subsequent measures.

Thank you for your understanding.
